TeamVGA started back in 2006 as a Counter-Strike: Source Clan. The goal was to try and create a small competitive community, and news site. The team went inactive when I turned away from it for real life stuff (the hardcore kind). I tried to start the team a few times again on my own but I didn’t want to invest the amount of time needed to gather great players needed for a team. While playing for other teams I was on the computer a lot, and liked to help people out with computers, and talk about games. Many people recommenced that I make a review site. I’ve always had the idea in the back of my head, but I just didn’t know if I would be able to create a site that stayed updated with reviews. Even though this is something I wanted to do, I figured “that was that” and I wasn’t going to make a new site. On my spare time I’d still make content and brand it as TeamVGA. Not sure why, but it was brand I gave to the game related content I created.
I’m very interested in PCs, every part of them. I like to stay updated and know about all the latest games, and hardware. I’m always looking for new places to find good information about PC gaming. When people told me to make my own review site I never thought of doing gaming too. That idea came when I felt the lack of a good PC gaming site. All the sites out there focus on consoles and the only reason they talk about PCs is because the games are multi platform. That’s when I had the idea to create a site about PC gaming. To share my knowledge, keep PC gamers updated about what they can do with their PCs that console gamers can’t, like mods, apps, hardware, peripherals, tweaks, patches, events, etc.
I also wanted to help the PC gaming community, get better at multilayer games, and creating content for themselves and the community. I can’t do that on my own, so I invite anyone from the community to help share knowledge and information. If you have content, tips, or anything related to PC gaming than you think may help, please email me at simon@teamvga.com
